Lexus

The department of the company Toyota Motor Corporation - Lexus (consonant with the word "luxus", i.e. luxurious) – was established in 1987 with the aim of manufacturing luxury cars for the American and European markets. The logo of this brand name is a styled letter "L" in an oval. A special group of 1400 designers was created for the development of this auto.

The first prototype of the car Lexus LS400 was presented in 1985 and in 1988 Lexus was presented at the auto show in Los Angeles as a trademark and later it named 80 car dealers that would sell the given autos.

The first two models of Lexus (Lexus LS400 - a luxury sedan with a 4L engine and Lexus ES250 - an executive sedan with a 2.5L engine) were shown in Detroit in 1989. In 1990 the model Lexus LS400 was called "the best auto" by the magazine "Car & Driver". In 1990 in the USA in terms of sales, Lexus overcame the luxury cars from the companies BMW and Mercedes-Benz as well as the leading importer of these class cars.

The next model Lexus SC400 in 1992 was recognized as the best imported car in the USA according to the magazine Motor Trend and Motoring Press Association. The survey conducted by the company J. D. Power and Associates revealed that Lexus cars satisfied the customers" needs completely. In 1999 the company celebrated two important anniversaries - 10 years of launching the first car and selling of the millionth car.

Lexus cars are one of the best cars of the LUX class which have conquered the hearts of thousands of people in the world.
