International
When the company International (at that time called International Harvester) started its history, it specialized in producing agricultural machines, refrigerators and even cars for spreading fertilizers.
Ten years later the specialists from International started seriously thinking about the production of trucks. In 1915 the company produced five first models: H, F, K, G and L. In 1928 the company produced some kind of diesel engine. In 1934 the firm designers thought about the design of the trucks and made more pleasant. From 1938 to 1940 such models as "D", "K" appeared which were used during the World War II and remained really popular in post-war years.
Now IH is one of the largest diesel truck producers of middle class with horse power from 175 till 300.
In the 80s the company was renamed. It got the name Navistar International, but it remained its trade mark. Today the company is the second biggest heavy and middle class truck manufacturer in the North America. The firm has one of the best export figures in the country. Eight basic models offer hundreds of modifications.
